Time is often perceived as linear, yet it unfolds in layers — expanding outward from a quiet center.

This work captures time as a physical presence, expressed through concentric sculptural rings that echo growth, memory, and accumulation. The textured surface suggests natural formations — like tree rings or ripples in water — marking moments that continue to expand beyond their origin.

At its core, the clock mechanism anchors the composition, measuring what cannot truly be held. The contrast between movement and stillness invites reflection on how time shapes us, even in silence.

The table is finished in Petrae Vicenza by Stucco Italiano a matt, smooth mineral plaster that evokes the appearance and feel of real stone. Petrae is inspired by the Italian stone Pietra di Vicenza, giving the surface a natural, quiet depth with subtle character. I completely fell in love with this material during the process. The texture, the softness, the understated strength.
